i saw a cd lens cleaning disc at cvs which claimed to clean and demagnetize the player's lens. pesky plastic lenses... always getting magnetized.

For fuck's sake, shitty department/drug stores are getting in on that act now? I have come to expect that from audiophool companies that sell over the Internet, but I WANT TO BE ABLE TO LEAVE MY HOUSE WITHOUT HAVING TO READ ABOUT GREEN MARKERS AND CABLE SUPPORTS AND EAR DEMAGNETIZERS AND STUFF.

I heard my hard drive is magnetized too. How do I demagnetize it?

Haha. I used to have an old Toshiba 1 gig SCSI drive that you could stick a screwdriver to, on the outside. Curious servo magnets, check.
